Seems that there is some sore of in-built timeout in the scanner and Windows 10 doesn't wake the scanner properly. If I leave it for several minutes, I have to do the whole "close VueScan, power off, power on, launch VueScan > Scan" palaver and it works. XP and the driver, it's fairly painless to load that environment up.Scanner works with a Windows 7 desktop running VueScan 9.0.96 without a problem (showing scanner is fine).
